Detective Inspector Jack Burns wants to punish two thugs responsible for a vicious beating at a housing estate in northeast London. He painstakingly builds his case against them, only to came up against a clever barrister, who has for some reason taken the case against him for very little money. A chilling twist at the end reveals the reason why.
